Thanks to another of our fantastic customers for sending this note this morning!
"I received your shipment of holly today and had to send this message. When I opened the box I found the most beautiful boughs of holly I've ever seen. I am 77 years old and I enjoy Christmas as I did in my youth. When I was young holly was common during the holidays but somehow it seemed to disappear. Your holly is breathtakingly beautiful. If I weren't so old I'd come to Oregon just to see your farm but I don't walk very well anymore.
I feel very fortunate to have found you on the net. I appreciate your effort to grow this beautiful holly.  Thank You - "

A humbling day...

Holiday time can be crazy for us.  Owning two businesses that peak during the month of December sometimes causes us to lose sight of the importance of the season.  Today I received a call from one of our regular customers, but I could tell almost immediately that he was calling from a distance away by the delay between sides of the conversation.  Then he mentioned that he was on deployment in Afghanistan, and he would miss Christmas with his wife and three kids, but would be home in February.  My heart slipped up to my throat and tears were streaming down my face.  I didn’t let him know.  I confirmed his order against the list from last year, thanked him for his order and for his service to our country.

I am humbled to be able to assist this gentleman with his gift giving while he risks his life for our freedom.    I will remember our conversation for a long time.  God bless you, Chris, and bring you home safely!

2011 Crop

The berries are looking wonderful on the green holly this year!  Plump and green now = lucious and red in December!

Just need to keep the babies from enjoying the new crop!
